Description

Adapted from an original 1909 score by African American virtuoso pianist John William “Blind” Boone (1864–1927), this Grade IV concert band arrangement of Rag Medley No. 2 highlights a seminal figure in mid-Missouri’s rich musical history. Obtained through the Blind Boone Memorial Foundation at The State Historical Society of Missouri, Dr. Cheetham’s edition corrects errors present in the original publication and adds a satisfying new coda to create an engaging performance piece for modern wind band.
