Ecce Tabernaculum – Ensemble Pack
Description
For Congregation, SATB Choir, Organ and optional Brass Quintet.
Ecce Tabernaculum was commissioned by the Diocese of Sioux City, Iowa, for the dedication of its newly renovated cathedral. Bishop Daniel DiNardo requested that the work feature Latin—the traditional language of the Roman Catholic Church—for the refrain. The title phrase, Ecce tabernaculum (“Behold the dwelling place”), is a classic inscription traditionally found on the cornerstones and altars of Catholic churches.
The Latin refrain is taken from the Vulgate translation of Revelation 21:3, while the verses feature the English text of Psalm 84:1–12 from the New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (NRSV-CE).
Designed with performance flexibility in mind, the work can be presented simply with SATB choir and piano. Where possible, performance with full organ and brass quintet lends the work a majestic, solemn quality, making it equally suited for concert programs and liturgical celebrations.
This pack includes a full score, full set of parts for brass quintet, and two vocal scores (with organ). Click here for a vocal score pack (15 scores).
